New York To Go began as the vision of a local North Dakota couple. In 2012 while in New York City, they visited a pizzeria that neither has ever forgotten. Even on full bellies after an evening of appetizers and cocktails, they circled the block – she in heels and dress and he in a suit – to have just one more slice at a hole-in-the-wall pizzeria before returning to Bismarck the next day.

Seven years later, they still longed for pizza like they had in NYC. Hot. Fresh. Top-Shelf ingredients with a thin, foldable crust like they hadn’t found anywhere else. “It’s in the water,” the New York pizza maker’s said. And that’s what New York To Go is making…pizza with crust that has the flavor and texture like you find in the pizzerias of NYC, using a special water system 

(NY Watermaker ™) to make their own fresh dough, daily.

So with a vision, lots of hard work, and good people who all went to NY Pizza Making School with the best in America, New York To Go became a reality.

But why stop with pizza? NYC has more than pizza to offer – like another of the couple’s favorites – The Gyro! Gyros are believed to have originated in Greece but the highly-seasoned beef and lamb pita sandwich we know today hit the American market in NYC in the early 1970’s.

Now you can get a gyro carved off the spit right here in Bismarck.

And who hasn’t heard about the NYC hotdog stands? They’re a staple on the streets of the Big Apple. We’ve got 7.25” Nathan’s ® Famous Hot Dogs – made famous on Coney Island in 1916 – served on fresh steams buns. Most recently we have added large and luscious Calzones and Jumbo Chicken Wings.
